About The Position

Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions at the Hilton Airport Atlanta. The role follows recipe cards, production and portion standards, and HEI Hotels and Resorts standards for food handling, storage, cleanliness, and cost control. The hotel describes a family-style leadership model focused on team development and continuous learning. Employees also have access to free transportation to and from the MARTA station and free lunch and dinner during working hours.

Requirements

Finger and hand dexterity to operate food machinery, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move goods weighing up to 100 pounds on a continuous schedule, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Responsibilities

Prepare food to consistent quality using recipe cards and production and portion standards, based on server checks.
Start food items prepared ahead of time while avoiding over-preparation.
Date food containers and rotate food; keep perishables at proper temperatures.
Check pars for shift use and determine preparation needs, freezer pulls, and line setup.
Note out-of-stock items and possible shortages.
Assist in keeping the buffet stocked.
Return unused food items to designated storage areas for the next shift, covering and dating perishables.
Assist with plans and actions to address food-cost problems and control food waste, loss, and usage according to HEI standards.
Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment.
Follow attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
