About The Position

The AL Med Tech administers medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse and within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. Medication administration must follow established nursing standards, community policies, procedures, and practices, as well as the requirements of the state in which the employee works. The role is offered as full-time and part-time, with shifts from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. or 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.; availability every other weekend is needed.

Requirements

Be listed in good standing on the medication aide registry in the state of employment.
Pass the QMA competency evaluation program, including a written test, if required by the state.
Be currently enrolled in a high school program or hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possess basic computer skills and the ability to navigate software programs, including electronic health record software.
Be available for a 3 p.m.–11 p.m. or 11 p.m.–7 a.m. shift and every other weekend.
