About The Position

The AL Med Tech administers medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse and within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. Medication administration must follow established nursing standards, community policies, procedures, and practices, as well as the requirements of the state in which the employee works. This is a full-time opportunity at The Villages of Harmon House in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, with shifts from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Requirements

Be listed in good standing on the medication aide registry in the state where you work.
Pass the QMA competency evaluation program, including a written test, if required by the state.
Be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possess basic computer skills and be able to navigate software programs, including electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician.
Work under the direction of a licensed nurse and within the scope of practice for Medication Aides.
Administer medications in accordance with nursing standards, community policies and procedures, and applicable state requirements.
