About The Position

The Aisles Online Manager oversees the planning, staffing, and day-to-day operations of a store’s online shopping fulfillment process. The role ensures orders are picked, packed, and delivered on time and to a high standard, while leading and developing the department team, resolving customer service issues, and improving the customer experience. This is a fast-moving role in a retail store setting, with ongoing pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects during each shift. The position involves frequent interaction with customers, employees, and vendors; following food safety requirements and company policies; and maintaining a safe, supportive work environment. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong computer and internet skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, team members, and vendors verbally and in writing.
Ability to identify problems and develop practical, timely solutions.
Confident use of computer systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, email applications, and job-specific programs.
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Ability to handle confidential information, including sales reports, pricing, profit and loss data, and operational information, with discretion.
Ability to frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areas.
Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning and sanitation duties.

Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding customer service, address customer needs, and take necessary steps to resolve service issues.
Oversee the order fulfillment process and monitor incoming online orders to ensure prompt, on-time fulfillment.
Recruit, train, schedule, and develop department employees.
Educate employees on new policies, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure food safety guidelines are followed and products are kept at proper temperatures during fulfillment.
Instruct, assign, and review the work of others; coordinate activities and address employee concerns.
Recommend employee discipline when appropriate.
Answer customer phone calls and emails promptly and provide friendly, helpful service.
Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
Assist with other tasks or special projects as needed.
