About The Position

The Aisles Online Clerk selects, scans, bags, and organizes online grocery orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring products remain fresh and at the proper temperature throughout fulfillment. The role supports a seamless customer pickup experience by storing orders correctly, retrieving them promptly, and loading groceries into customer vehicles as needed. Clerks also provide friendly customer service in the store and by phone, process customer orders and payments, monitor incoming orders, and make product substitutions when requested or when items are unavailable. The position works in a fast-paced retail environment, requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks, and includes following Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines. Training is provided to help support a safe work environment. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs when interacting in the store.
Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones accurately and efficiently.
Tender customer orders through the POS system and process credit card payments.
Store gathered orders at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly before customer arrival.
Maintain proper product temperatures throughout the fulfillment process.
Cart orders to and place them in the holding area for customer pickup.
Load groceries into customer vehicles as needed.
Monitor incoming online orders to ensure prompt, on-time fulfillment.
Substitute products at customer request or when items are unavailable.
Answer the phone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to callers.
Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
Assist with other tasks or special projects as needed.
