About The Position

RWS is seeking native-level Spanish (Puerto Rico) speakers for a short voice evaluation project supporting the development of speech and language AI technologies. Contributors read provided text prompts aloud and submit recordings through an internal online platform. Recordings will be used to evaluate agent responses to spoken instructions and compare them with evaluations of text-based instructions. Audio may be reviewed for quality and incorporated into datasets for AI research, development, testing, and improvement.

This is freelance, remote, task-based work lasting approximately one month, with a flexible schedule of approximately 4–6 hours per day. The project starts immediately and pays 18 USD per hour. Contributors will record approximately 640 text cards, speaking naturally in their own Puerto Rican Spanish dialect and following detailed recording instructions. They may be asked to re-record submissions to meet quality standards.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Spanish (Puerto Rico).
• Authentic pronunciation and strong familiarity with the target dialect or accent through everyday use.
• Advanced English proficiency to understand written instructions.
• Ability to complete a trial voice recording to verify language variant and accent.
• Do not imitate dialects or accents that are not your own.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain recording accuracy.
• Quiet room or recording space with minimal background noise.
• Computer microphone or headset with microphone.
• Reliable internet connection.
• Ability to access and use an online recording platform.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with speech recording projects is an advantage, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Produce clear, natural, high-quality speech recordings according to the provided guidelines and instructions.
