AI Engineer (Portless)
About The Position
Portless is transforming e-commerce logistics with AI and is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent systems that automate and optimize supply-chain operations at scale. The role is full-time and remote in North America, with approximately six hours of overlap with Eastern Time. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; candidates in Canada or Mexico are considered only if they already hold U.S. work authorization. The AI Engineer will build and deploy AI/ML models for logistics and e-commerce use cases, work with large language models, computer vision, and predictive analytics, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to ship AI-powered features. The role owns the full machine-learning lifecycle, including data, training, evaluation, and deployment, and includes monitoring and improving model performance in production.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of AI/ML engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience deploying models to production.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Candidates in Canada or Mexico must already hold U.S. work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain.
- LLM fine-tuning and RAG experience.
