AI Engineer (Portless)
About The Position
Portless is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent systems that automate and optimize supply-chain operations at scale. The role focuses on applying AI to e-commerce logistics, including building and deploying AI/ML models, working with large language models, computer vision, and predictive analytics, and shipping AI-powered product features. The engineer will own the full machine-learning lifecycle, from data and training through evaluation and deployment, and will monitor and improve model performance in production. The position is fully remote in North America, with approximately six hours of overlap with Eastern Time.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of AI/ML engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience deploying models to production.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available. Candidates in Canada or Mexico are eligible only if they already hold US work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain.
- Experience with LLM fine-tuning and RAG.
Responsibilities
