AI Engineer (Portless)
About The Position
Portless is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent systems that automate and optimize supply-chain operations at scale. The role focuses on AI and machine-learning applications in e-commerce logistics, including large language models, computer vision, and predictive analytics. The engineer will collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver AI-powered features and own the machine-learning lifecycle from data and training through evaluation and deployment. This is a full-time, remote role in North America, with approximately six hours of overlap with Eastern Time. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available. Candidates in Canada or Mexico are considered only if they already hold U.S. work authorization. The stated salary range is $180,000–$230,000.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of AI/ML engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience deploying models to production.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship is available. Candidates in Canada or Mexico must already hold U.S. work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain.
- Experience with LLM fine-tuning and RAG.
