AI Engineer (Portless)
About The Position
Portless is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent systems that automate and optimize supply-chain operations at scale. The role focuses on AI and machine-learning applications for e-commerce and logistics, including LLMs, computer vision, and predictive analytics. The engineer will work with product and engineering teams to deliver AI-powered features and own the full machine-learning lifecycle, from data and training through evaluation and deployment. The position is fully remote in North America, with approximately six hours of overlap with Eastern Time, and offers a salary of $180,000–$230,000.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of AI/ML engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience deploying models to production.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available. Candidates in Canada or Mexico must already hold U.S. work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain.
- LLM fine-tuning and RAG experience.
Responsibilities
