About The Position
Portless is transforming e-commerce logistics with AI. The AI Engineer will design, build, and deploy intelligent systems to automate and optimize supply-chain operations at scale. This is a full-time, remote role for candidates in North America, with approximately six hours of overlap with Eastern Time. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available. Candidates in Canada or Mexico are eligible only if they already have US work authorization.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of AI/ML engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience deploying models to production.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship is available. Candidates in Canada or Mexico must already hold US work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain.
- LLM fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy AI/ML models for logistics and e-commerce use cases.
- Work with large language models, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver AI-powered features.
- Own the full machine-learning lifecycle, including data, training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Monitor and improve model performance in production.
