AI Engineer (Portless)
About The Position
Portless is transforming e-commerce logistics with AI and is hiring an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent systems that automate and optimize supply-chain operations at scale. The role is full-time and remote in North America, with approximately six hours of overlap with Eastern Time. The engineer will build AI/ML models for logistics and e-commerce, work with LLMs, computer vision, and predictive analytics, collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver AI-powered features, own the full machine-learning lifecycle, and monitor and improve production model performance.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of AI/ML engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience deploying models to production.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Candidates in Canada or Mexico are considered only if they already hold US work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain.
- Experience with LLM fine-tuning and RAG.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy AI/ML models for logistics and e-commerce use cases.
