About The Position
Portless is transforming e-commerce logistics with AI and is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent systems that automate and optimize supply-chain operations at scale. This is a full-time, remote role for candidates in North America, with approximately six hours of overlap with Eastern Time. The salary range is $180,000–$230,000 (EUR 155,615–EUR 198,842).
Requirements
- At least 4 years of AI/ML engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience deploying models to production.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available. Candidates in Canada or Mexico must already hold U.S. work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain.
- Experience with LLM fine-tuning and RAG.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy AI/ML models for logistics and e-commerce use cases.
- Work with LLMs, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ship AI-powered features.
- Own the full ML lifecycle, including data, training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Monitor and improve model performance in production.
