About The Position

Ibex Pittsburgh is hiring a Customer Support / Sales Representative to help consumers connect to satellite internet services. Working with a next-generation satellite communications company, the representative will assist customers in rural, suburban, and underserved areas where traditional broadband may not reach. The role combines inbound customer support with sales: understanding customers’ connectivity needs, explaining product features, recommending service plans and hardware, and closing sales while providing an excellent customer experience. Paid training is provided, and the company describes opportunities for growth and advancement.

Requirements

Strong communication and active listening skills.
Ability to simplify and explain technical information to everyday customers.
Goal-driven mindset and passion for helping customers.
Comfort using computers, multiple systems, and communication tools.
Flexibility to work various shifts depending on program needs.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in sales, customer service, or telecommunications is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Handle inbound interactions to provide customer support while promoting satellite internet services.
Assist customers with equipment activation, password resets, service plan management, and general information inquiries.
Complete service order requests and negotiate when needed.
Create a positive customer experience through empathy, patience, and attention to customer concerns.
Explain product benefits, including speed, reliability, installation details, and service availability.
Meet and exceed sales targets, conversion goals, and quality metrics.
Process orders accurately, update customer information, and document interactions.
Collaborate with leaders and trainers to improve product knowledge.
