California Schools Talent Collaborative•Yucca Valley, CA

About The Position

This substitute position supports after-school instructional programs at various sites across a school district, depending on daily staffing needs. There is no guaranteed daily shift or location. The substitute must be available Monday through Friday, travel to different sites as needed, and respond promptly to available shifts. The role is part of a partnership between California Schools Talent Collaborative (CSTC) and a school district. Employees are initially placed at a school site as an Instructional Provider for three months and are expected during that period to apply for an equivalent district position and complete the district’s hiring process. After successful completion of that process and at least three months of CSTC service, employees are eligible to transition to direct district employment. Under the direction of the Expanded Learning Site Supervisor, the substitute facilitates and implements program activities, provides assigned instruction to TK–12 students, and supervises students. The role involves working with students individually and in groups, managing classroom activities and materials, tracking attendance and student progress, communicating with parents, and attending staff meetings and training. The work takes place indoors and outdoors in classrooms and on playgrounds, with moderate noise typical of a school environment.
