About The Position

This part-time substitute position is part of a pathway in partnership with a school district. Substitutes may be assigned to different school sites depending on daily staffing needs and must be ready to travel between locations, respond promptly to available shifts, and commit to covering them. There is no guaranteed daily shift or location. As a California Schools Talent Collaborative (CSTC) employee, the person will initially be placed at a school site as an Instructional Provider for three months. During that period, they are expected to apply for an equivalent district position and complete the district’s hiring process. After successfully completing that process and serving with CSTC for at least three months, they may be eligible to transition to direct district employment. Under the direction of the Expanded Learning Site Supervisor, the position facilitates and implements program activities, provides assigned instruction to TK–12 students, and supervises students. The role offers hands-on experience in a school environment as a potential pathway to a career in public education.
