About The Position

Arc Experience is hiring a part-time, non-exempt After School Program Leader at Ben Hulse Elementary School in Imperial, California. Program Leaders work directly with students, supporting social-emotional learning, homework, enrichment, and recreational activities. They help make after-school learning engaging, build students’ confidence, and create a safe and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate comfortably with children and parents.
• College transcripts showing at least 48 completed college credit units, or passing an academic proficiency exam.
• Obtain a TB test and provide proof of a negative result.
• Pass a Live Scan background check.
• Reliably commute to the work location before starting work.
• Provide documentation of full COVID-19 vaccination if required by the school.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome students to the program at the end of the school day.
• Organize and lead activities such as homework help, recreation games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
• Participate in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Create unique clubs for students, such as career readiness, cooking, anime, or dance clubs.
• Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols, monitoring student behavior, and managing group dynamics.
• Oversee students’ safety and well-being during after-school activities.
• Encourage student participation and enthusiasm while adapting activities to diverse needs and interests.
