About The Position

This part-time substitute position is part of a pathway in partnership with a school district. The Instructional Provider Substitute may be assigned to different sites across the district based on daily staffing needs and must be ready to travel to cover assignments. Shifts and locations are not guaranteed, and the substitute is expected to respond promptly and commit to available open shifts. As a California Schools Talent Collaborative (CSTC) employee, the employee will initially be placed at a school site as an Instructional Provider for three months. During that period, they are expected to apply for an equivalent district position and complete the district’s formal hiring process. Under the direction of the Expanded Learning Site Supervisor, the employee facilitates and implements program activities, provides assigned instruction to TK–12 students, and supervises students. The role offers hands-on experience in a school setting and a potential pathway to a career in public education.
