About The Position

This part-time substitute position is part of a pathway offered in partnership with a school district. The substitute may be assigned to different school sites depending on daily staffing needs and must be ready to travel between locations, respond promptly to available shifts, and commit to covering assignments. There is no guaranteed daily shift or location. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at a rate of $22.50 per hour. As a California Schools Talent Collaborative (CSTC) employee, the employee will be placed at a school site as an Instructional Provider for an initial period of three months. During that time, the employee is expected to apply for an equivalent district position and complete the district’s formal hiring process. After successfully completing that process and at least three months of service with CSTC, the employee will be eligible to transition to direct district employment. Under the direction of the Expanded Learning Site Supervisor, the employee facilitates and implements program activities, provides assigned instruction to TK–12 students, and supervises students. The role offers hands-on experience in a school environment and a potential pathway to a career in public education.
