About The Position

Pape’ Kenworth is seeking an Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic to work on medium- and heavy-duty Class 7 and 8 trucks. This role leads complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance while modeling high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism. The technician also mentors and serves as a technical resource for other shop technicians, helping maximize customer uptime and return trucks to service safely and correctly.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working on all makes and models of medium- and heavy-duty Class 7 and 8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Nice To Haves

• Kenworth Essentials certifications.
• Cummins and MX software experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty Class 7 and 8 trucks.
• Analyze complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions, determine repair strategies, and perform repairs or rebuilds.
• Work on major systems including engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
• Complete repairs with precision, efficiency, and lasting quality while upholding safety and professional standards.
• Mentor and provide technical support to other technicians.
• Help maximize customer uptime and return trucks to the road quickly, safely, and correctly.
