About The Position

Clarke Power is hiring experienced Diesel Engine Technicians / Truck Mechanics for first- and second-shift work. The role involves maintaining the company’s commitment to safety and customer service, with service and repair work across truck systems, diagnostics, inspections, and preventive maintenance. Mobile service duties may also be involved. The position offers a pay range of $35–$45 per hour, based on experience, along with training, benefits, and career-growth opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant truck mechanic experience.
• Experience with engine repair.
• Computer skills and good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and assist others as needed.
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record within the last three years.
• No drug- or alcohol-related conviction, such as DUI/DWI, on the driving record within the past five years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require company sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future.
• Ability to move frequently and stand, walk, and sit; frequently use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms; regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair drivetrain, engine, steering, electrical, suspension, and brake systems.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, and diagnose equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Potentially perform mobile service duties.
• Work independently and assist others as needed.
• Adjust to changing priorities.
• Read and write reports.
• Implement and enforce applicable health and safety legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions.
