About The Position

Clarke Power is hiring an experienced Diesel Engine Technician / Diesel Mechanic to support its commitment to safety and customer service. The role involves truck repair and maintenance, including engine repair, and may include mobile service work. The position is available on both first and second shifts, with pay of $35–$45 per hour based on experience. Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant truck mechanic experience.
• Experience as a truck mechanic, including engine repair.
• Computer skills and good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and assist others as needed.
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug- or alcohol-related conviction on the driving record in the past 5 years, such as DUI/DWI.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to move frequently and to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repair work on drivetrains, engines, steering systems, electrical systems, suspensions, and brakes.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, and diagnose trucks and related systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Potentially perform mobile service job duties.
• Work independently and assist others as needed.
• Adjust to changing priorities.
• Implement and enforce health and safety legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
• Read and write reports.
