About The Position

CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is hiring a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for its Castle Hills clinic. This clinic-based role delivers evidence-based primary and family care through in-person visits, with virtual visits conducted from the clinic when patient volume permits and virtual care will not delay or interfere with in-person care. Providers work with clinical and organizational support and are expected to practice at the top of their license. The role includes assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions; providing preventive and wellness services; coordinating care; and completing clinic operations and patient follow-up. The position requires physical presence at the assigned clinic. The stated hourly pay rate for this position and location is $60–$70 per hour based on experience, plus shift differentials and a quarterly incentive plan. The posting also lists a broader job-grade pay range of $41.85–$90.13 per hour, with actual base pay dependent on experience, education, geography, and other factors.

Requirements

Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Nurse Practitioners: Current national board certification through AANP or ANCC.
Nurse Practitioners: Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner/APRN license in good standing.
Physician Associates: Master of Science in Physician Assistant/Associate Studies, or a health-related master’s degree plus a Bachelor of Science in PA Studies.
Physician Associates: Current NCCPA certification and an active, unrestricted state PA/Physician Associate license, or eligibility to obtain one upon hire.
Obtain and maintain multi-state licensure based on business needs.
Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
Maintain active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Be able to pass a respirator fit test.
Be physically present at the assigned clinic.
Nurse Practitioners must be able to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
Nurse Practitioners must be able to order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19, influenza, TB testing, and Depo-Provera.
Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to perform Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

One year of Nurse Practitioner experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Prior Physician Associate experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.
Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation, preferred for candidates with less than one year of provider experience.
Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Provide in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes.
Perform diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, treatment of injuries and illnesses, and coordination of care with other healthcare professionals.
Engage patients in wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings.
Complete clinic operations, including inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.
Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
Complete charting and follow-up during the scheduled shift.
