About The Position

CVS Health MinuteClinic is hiring a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to float among clinics in the Wilmington and Carolina Beach areas. The position is scheduled for 20–25 hours per week, including every other weekend. This is a clinic-based role focused on high-quality in-person care. Virtual visits may be conducted from the clinic when onsite patient volume is lower and doing so does not delay or interfere with in-person care. The provider delivers evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. The role includes diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, treatment of injuries and illnesses, care coordination, wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive screenings. Providers work with clinical and organizational support and use evidence-based guidelines and assessment and treatment-planning resources. Charting and follow-up are completed during the scheduled shift. NP candidates must have a master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program, current AANP or ANCC board certification, and an active, unrestricted state APRN license. PA candidates must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant/Associate Studies, or a health-related master’s degree plus a Bachelor of Science in PA Studies, current NCCPA certification, and an active, unrestricted state PA license or eligibility to obtain one upon hire. Requirements for either provider type include BLS certification, a DOT certification exam completed within 30 days of employment, the ability to pass a respirator fit test, and physical presence at the assigned clinic. Multi-state licensure must be obtained and maintained based on business needs. The role also includes clinic operations such as inventory management, opening and closing the clinic, patient follow-up, insurance verification, payment collection, routine examinations, and timely appointment management. Physical duties involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching, as well as the ability to perform Basic Life Support.
