About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced automotive body technician to perform extensive repairs on multiple vehicle panels and train other autobody technicians. Work includes heavy plastic welding and stapling; heavy metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding; roof and rocker panel repair; and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. The position is based in a high-tech Inspection Center and uses state-of-the-art tools. The schedule is Monday through Thursday on second shift, with mandatory overtime possible based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Train other autobody technicians.
• Perform heavy plastic welding and stapling.

• Perform large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair.
