About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Auto Painter to prepare vehicles for customers at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The role requires strong automotive painting skills, including applying base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. The position is listed as a second-shift role, Monday through Thursday. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The position is part of Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning process, in which vehicles are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed on the company website. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may be exposed to hot or cold weather. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
