About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced Auto Body Repair Technician to perform bodywork on multiple vehicle panels at its high-tech Inspection Center in Delanco, New Jersey. Work includes heavy plastic welding, minor metal pulling, roof and rocker panel repair, and large-area, heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. The role offers an hourly wage based on experience and skill level, plus a shift differential. A sign-on bonus is listed for mid-level and high-level technicians. Training programs are available for entry-level positions, but this posting seeks technicians with at least three years of professional automotive bodywork experience. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with overtime on Fridays as needed. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Technicians use tools and safety equipment in a fast-paced production environment that may involve exposure to heat or cold.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Pass a complete background check as a condition of hiring.
