About The Position

Carvana is seeking an Auto Body Repair Technician (also described as an Autobody Prepper) to perform bodywork on multiple vehicle panels at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work includes heavy plastic welding, minor metal pulling, roof and rocker panel repair, and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. Technicians help prepare low-mileage, late-model vehicles for customers by ensuring vehicles are inspected and brought to first-rate condition. The position pays $26–$35 per hour and includes a $6,000 bonus as advertised. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees so their skills and pay can progress. The role operates in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. Applicants must pass a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
