About The Position

The Activity Leader watches over members’ children and creates a constructive, fun experience for them while their parents enjoy other aspects of the club. The role contributes to member connections and a collaborative team environment.

The position involves welcoming members, guests, parents, and children; monitoring and participating in children’s play; maintaining a safe and clean childcare environment; communicating with parents or guardians; supporting children’s social and emotional development; leading creative activities; assisting with meals and refreshments; and helping with club and family events, including setup and breakdown as needed.

• Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including standing, stooping, bending, and twisting for most of the workday, and occasionally lifting up to the stated weight (the posting says “40-6 lbs”).

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive service, prioritizing quality and member well-being.
• Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Maintain a safe play environment and ensure the childcare center is clean.
• Welcome parents and carefully listen to their instructions regarding their children’s care.
• Observe, monitor, and participate in children’s play activities.
• Communicate with parents or guardians about activities, behavior, and related matters.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Read to children and teach simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
• Keep records for individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.
• Support children’s emotional and social development, including understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
• Assist with preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children.
• Assist with family, youth, and other club events, including setup and breakdown as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
