About The Position

This is a 6-month contract position paid through a third party company. The role involves developing creative, proactive sourcing strategies using advanced search methods, social media, and professional networks to identify and engage with top professionals who may not be actively looking for a job. The recruiter will review potential leads, initiate phone calls to assess interest, and conduct phone screens to determine qualifications in relation to open positions. This role also requires working alongside talent acquisition specialists with panel interviews through the onboarding process. Duties must be performed in a safe, professional, and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County. A daily schedule supporting RCOC hours of operation is required, and regular, predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Human Resources Development, Human Resource Administration, Education or related field.
  • At least 5 years of full-time experience with active recruiting.
  • Strong planning, organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state of Michigan driver’s license.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Possess a Valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hiring union employees or engineers (civil) a plus.
