About The Position

Cintas is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to perform accounts receivable functions and pursue outstanding customer payments. The role involves managing assigned accounts, contacting customers about payment status, and working to recover overdue amounts while maintaining professional customer relationships.

The representative handles customer questions and complaints, investigates and resolves account discrepancies, updates account records, and escalates customers who are unwilling or unable to pay. The position also requires following applicable requirements when legal action is unavoidable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of collections experience.
• Ability to use confidential information professionally to achieve collections targets or goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), intranet, and internet.

• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Experience with SAP and AS400.

Responsibilities

• Track assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Plan courses of action to recover outstanding payments.
• Conduct heavy phone activity with customers.
• Locate and contact debtors regarding payment status.
• Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
• Handle customer questions or complaints.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Establish good relationships with customers.
• Regularly update account status and databases.
• Alert supervisors when customers are unwilling or unable to pay outstanding amounts.
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.
