About The Position

Cintas is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to perform accounts receivable functions and manage assigned accounts. The role focuses on identifying and recovering outstanding debts through customer contact, payment negotiations, discrepancy resolution, and regular account updates. The representative is expected to maintain professional customer relationships, meet collections targets, escalate customers who are unwilling or unable to pay, and comply with applicable requirements when legal action is unavoidable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of collections experience.
• Ability to use confidential information professionally to achieve collections targets or goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and intranet/internet.

• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Experience with SAP and AS400.

Responsibilities

• Track assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Plan courses of action to recover outstanding payments.
• Conduct heavy phone activity with customers.
• Locate and contact debtors regarding payment status.
• Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
• Handle customer questions or complaints.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Establish good relationships with customers.
• Regularly update account status and the database.
• Alert supervisors when customers are unwilling or unable to pay outstanding amounts.
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.
