About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (A/R) Manager to join our team at a long-term care facility. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3–5 years of experience in long-term care finance and a strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid billing and reimbursement processes. The A/R Manager will oversee accounts receivable operations, ensure timely collections, and supervise the A/R Assistant.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
3–5 years of accounting experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting
Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs and billing processes
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Experience with Point Click Care is a plus

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all accounts receivable functions, including billing, collections, and cash posting
Monitor and analyze A/R aging reports; implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances
Ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid billing guidelines and regulations
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and denied claims
Supervise, train, and support the A/R Assistant
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate resident billing and account reconciliation
Prepare financial reports and provide insights to leadership on A/R performance
Maintain accurate and organized records in accordance with regulatory standards
