The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for collecting outstanding accounts receivable and resolving past-due client balances. The role focuses exclusively on accounts receivable collections, proactively contacting clients by phone and email to secure payment, resolve disputes, and reduce aging balances. The ideal candidate is persistent, organized, and comfortable managing a high-volume portfolio of accounts in a structured, remote environment. The role monitors client balances and aging reports, prioritizes collection outreach, tracks promises to pay, records and reconciles incoming payments across multiple systems, and keeps collection records accurate and current. It also involves outbound calls and written correspondence, negotiating payment arrangements within assigned authority, responding to client questions, investigating billing disputes, and escalating complex or high-risk matters. The associate prepares collections updates and activity reports, supports month-end close by ensuring assigned accounts are current and documented, identifies process improvements, and follows standardized procedures, escalation paths, and internal controls. Team members are expected to contribute through strong relationships, communication, quality service, operational excellence, innovation, and growth.
