About The Position

Kocourek Automotive is seeking an Accounting & Cancellation Specialist to support its accounting office. The role processes vendor invoices, manages accounts payable, and handles product cancellations and refunds. It works with customers, lenders, product providers, and dealership team members to ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Previous automotive dealership or dealership accounting experience.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems and product cancellations.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and promptly.
• Verify invoices, supporting documentation, and required approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare payments according to dealership procedures and payment schedules.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with month-end accounting tasks.
• Process cancellations for service contracts, GAP coverage, maintenance plans, and other eligible products.
• Review cancellation requests and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Submit cancellation requests to product providers and track them through completion.
• Verify refund amounts and coordinate payments to customers or lien holders, as applicable.
• Communicate with customers, lenders, product providers, and dealership departments to resolve questions and obtain missing information.
• Maintain accurate cancellation logs, refund records, and supporting documentation.
