Requirements

• One year as a Fiscal Technician and 15 college credits in accounting; or Five years of bookkeeping experience; and 15 college credits in accounting; or One year of professional accounting experience and graduation from a four year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming deposits and reconcile revenue and expense schedules with general ledger accounts; prepare adjustment vouchers to correct or close accounts
• Assist Fiscal Officers to ensure agency records comply with procedures, policies, and regulations
• Apply generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to transactions and situations as they occur; assist with budget to actual analysis, research, and other processes
• Help with required audit schedules, analyze and interpret accounting records and methods used to input transactions into the accounting program
• Prepare audit, budget to actual, and other reports as needed for internal review and submission for external requirements
