About The Position

In the Specialty Equipment Division, we help businesses stay in business when bad things happen to their equipment. Our focus is on innovation and simplicity, and we go beyond convention to provide embedded insurance solutions that make purchasing and financing equipment fast and easy. The team combines specialized technology and service excellence to manage risk and create valuable customer experience. The job title and salary will be dependent upon the successful applicants' level of experience. Great American’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on‑site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs. We are seeking a motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who has a proven track record in client retention, strategic account management, and portfolio growth. While this Account Manager role involves building strong client relationships and ensuring high levels of service delivery, it does not include cold calling, prospecting, or selling products/services. The focus is on client retention, satisfaction, and operational support, rather than revenue generation or sales quotas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree generally preferred.
  • Generally, 3-6 years of Account / Relationship Management experience
  • Finance, Leasing, or Commercial Insurance experience and/or knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 25-35% of the time throughout the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and build strategic relationships with key client stakeholders across a variety of accounts from transactional to moderately complex, ensuring engagement at both executive and operational levels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive account retention and expansion, fostering trust-based strategic partnerships.
  • Enhance client satisfaction by proactively aligning evolving business needs with GAI’s products and services, delivering measurable value.
  • Oversee the efficient implementation of products and services, ensuring timely delivery while managing risks, scope, and budget expectations.
  • Effectively conducts training sessions to enhance awareness of GAI’s products and services, emphasizing the value they deliver to our client’s business and their customers.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including Business Development, Marketing, Underwriting, Accounting, and Claims—to effectively address account-related concerns and drive client success.
  • Compile, analyze and present data insights on operational efficiency, performance trends and account growth, providing recommendations that strengthen relationships and optimize client accounts.
  • Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with clients and internal teams, ensuring documentation and alignment across all initiatives
