About The Position

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an entrepreneurial Account Executive to build and own a Texas territory and grow sales of construction technology. The role initially focuses on Tool Connect Asset Management software, with the opportunity to expand into additional construction technology applications. The Account Executive will create opportunities through outbound prospecting and field engagement, sell through customer-focused discovery and business-value presentations, and manage deals from prospecting through close and expansion. The role calls for someone comfortable engaging construction jobsite users as well as presenting business cases to executive leaders. The position is remote and involves approximately 40–50% travel. The successful candidate will build relationships across accounts, maintain a disciplined pipeline and forecast, and partner with internal field sales, customer success, product, marketing, sales operations, engineering, and strategic account teams. They will develop technical and commercial expertise across an expanding software portfolio and take ownership of territory performance and customer outcomes.

  • Technically savvy, with the ability to learn software quickly.
  • Experience conducting software or technical demonstrations remotely and in person.
  • Confidence communicating with audiences ranging from end users to C-suite executives.
  • Strong CRM, opportunity management, forecasting, and data hygiene experience.
  • Ability to travel approximately 40–50%.

  • Maintain consistent pipeline coverage, manage accounts, and take accountability for territory performance.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to uncover customer challenges and opportunities.
  • Tailor software presentations and demonstrations to field users, operations teams, technical stakeholders, and executives.
  • Build business cases around productivity, asset visibility, utilization, accountability, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage opportunities with urgency, persistence, and disciplined follow-through.
  • Own the sales process from prospecting through discovery, demonstration, business case, proposal, close, and expansion.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including opportunity stages, next steps, contacts, close dates, pipeline, and forecasts.
