About The Position

Stepan is seeking an Account Executive for its Specialty Polyols team in North America. Reporting to the Specialty Polyols Commercial Director, the role is responsible for profitable growth of Stepan's polymer business in the CASE and Powder Resins markets. The Account Executive works with existing customers and prospects, develops customer sales strategies, and executes them in line with company objectives. The role requires working independently from a remote home office and traveling up to 50%.

Requirements

At least 1 year of in-depth product, application, and market knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Outstanding problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently from a remote home office.
High motivation, drive, and initiative.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice To Haves

CASE or Powder Resins sales experience.
A degree in Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

Sell Stepan products to established customers and new prospects to deliver or exceed budgeted growth targets.
Develop and implement a sales strategy for all customers.
Negotiate new contracts.
Identify attractive opportunities for Stepan and develop and coordinate programs to convert them into new business.
Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including accurate pricing, opportunity management, and reporting of customer engagements.
Facilitate resolution of supply and delivery issues when necessary.
Conduct appropriate customer follow-ups.
Solve customer problems.
Participate actively in key industry trade organizations.
