About The Position

The role originates opportunities and leads consultative sales through close, in partnership with the GM of Insurance and product, engineering, and deployment teams. Priority markets include property and casualty, life and annuities, and specialty insurance. Customer workflows span underwriting, claims, distribution, and core operations, where agentic orchestration of people and data can improve speed, quality, and business outcomes. The Account Executive will shape the sales narrative, generate and qualify opportunities, establish customer value cases, and coordinate complex deals through scoping, pricing, security and legal review, procurement, negotiation, and delivery handoff. The role also feeds recurring customer needs and product gaps into product strategy and roadmap recommendations, while helping create a repeatable sales motion. San Francisco, New York, or remote on the East Coast is preferred.

Requirements

  • Experience shaping bespoke solution scope, navigating implementation tradeoffs, building quantified value cases, negotiating contracts, and aligning delivery commitments.
  • Insurance sales experience and credible knowledge of insurance operating models, workflows, and buying processes.
  • Deep expertise in at least one priority market: property and casualty, life and annuities, or specialty insurance.
  • Practical AI and technical fluency, including using AI in one's own work, verifying its outputs, and discussing data, integrations, evaluation, and human oversight with buyers and technical partners.
  • Strong commercial judgment and execution, including creating access, writing clearly, developing compelling materials, managing several pursuits, leading across teams without formal authority, and doing detailed work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling AI products or solutions and understanding how customers evaluate, buy, and deploy them.
  • Experience building commercial motion and trusted relationships in a 0-to-1 startup environment.

  • Shape the pitch and sales narrative, open doors, and build a pipeline through targeted outreach, executive and industry relationships, partners, conferences, and events.
  • Select appropriate accounts, earn substantive meetings, and convert follow-up into sales-qualified opportunities.
  • Convert marketing-generated and self-sourced leads into sales-qualified opportunities; assess the problem, economics, buyer, funding path, and timing, and decide whether to pursue, nurture, or decline opportunities.
  • Engage technical partners early to assess data, security, and implementation constraints.
  • Establish customer baselines and agree on desired improvements; create briefs and proposals, coordinate tailored demonstrations with product and deployment teams, and test economic assumptions.
  • Lead deals through scoping, pricing, security and legal review, procurement, and negotiation, coordinating buyer and internal teams.
  • Validate commitments with product and deployment owners and hand off agreed scope, success measures, and assumptions for delivery.
  • Translate recurring prospect needs, buying signals, objections, and product gaps into recommendations for product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Maintain accurate account plans and forecasts, learn from wins and losses, and develop materials and practices to improve future sales pursuits.
