About The Position

The Norfolk Tides are seeking an Account Executive to join their Ticket Sales Team. The role focuses on generating ticket sales while delivering exceptional customer service to support fan retention and create positive experiences with the brand. It is intended for someone interested in growing within the sports industry and learning the business at every level. The Account Executive represents the organization in the community and works with sales and marketing teams to develop compelling sales programs that support long-term business sustainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 6 months of sales or customer service experience.
• Demonstrated sales track record and ability to build quality relationships; sports industry experience is preferred.
• Friendly and professional telephone manner.
• Strong desire to learn about the business and grow professionally.
• Ability to express ideas effectively verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.

Nice To Haves

• Sales and relationship-building experience within the sports industry.

Responsibilities

• Represent the organization professionally in the community.
• Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, appointments, stadium tours, and networking or community events.
• Renew group and hospitality/suite clients.
• Work with sales and marketing departments to develop sales programs and components focused on long-term business sustainability.
• Track sales activity in the dedicated CRM and prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status.
• Meet or exceed personal sales goals.
• Meet or exceed daily and weekly outbound call and appointment minimums.
• Assist other areas of the operation when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
