About The Position

Kyra is hiring an Account Director to lead a major sports and entertainment client account covering sportsbook, fantasy, and live events. This is a single-account role with responsibility for the client relationship, campaign strategy, operational delivery, performance, budget pacing, and two direct-report Campaign Managers. The account is newly won and growing quickly; an interim lead will provide a handover, and campaigns will already be live when the new hire joins. The role combines senior client leadership with hands-on day-to-day campaign operations. The Account Director sets and maintains the account playbook, oversees casting and creator deals, manages delivery milestones and client dependencies, and ensures campaigns launch quickly around games and other moments. The work requires familiarity with sports betting and fantasy content requirements, including age gates, state restrictions, platform policies, and disclosure rules. Kyra describes itself as an AI-native business. Its campaign workflows use a proprietary platform built with AI at the core, and the Account Director is expected to already use Claude or similar tools to build effective workflows and improve work such as casting, research, reporting, or client communications. The position is permanent, full-time, US-based, and works EST hours. The role ideally starts in mid-November. Some weekend work is required because campaigns go live around games, fixtures, and events.

Requirements

  • At least five years of agency-side experience running creator programmes for sportsbook, DFS, or fantasy brands, or US league partnerships such as NFL or NBA.
  • Ability to demonstrate campaign results, including CPV targets achieved, creator and post volumes per month, and typical turnaround from outreach to live content.
  • Experience personally owning a senior client relationship, including difficult conversations.
  • Experience managing Campaign Managers while remaining closely involved in campaign work.
  • Fluency in views, CPV, and CPM, and ability to turn performance data into clear recommendations.
  • Knowledge of FTC disclosure and compliance rules for betting content.
  • Based in the US and able to work EST hours.
  • Not currently working on a competing sportsbook, DFS, or betting brand.
  • Organised, direct, and calm when plans change at short notice.
  • Experience in a fast-growing business or account, maintaining steady delivery as scope, team, and client expectations scaled.
  • Current practical use of Claude or similar AI tools, with demonstrable workflows for work such as casting, research, reporting, or client communications and evidence of what they have saved or improved.
  • Willingness to work some weekends around games, fixtures, and events.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the client's senior contact at Kyra and own account strategy, approvals, escalations, and commercial conversations.
  • Manage client expectations, communicate account status, and identify opportunities for future work.
  • Own and maintain the account operating playbook covering casting, outreach, contracting, briefing, review, approval, go-live, and reporting.
  • Set the casting strategy for each campaign, including creator profile, tier, mix, and volume.
  • Set negotiation approaches for creator fees and usage rights, and approve deals before contracting.
  • Ensure compliance with age requirements, state restrictions, platform policies, and disclosure requirements.
  • Oversee live campaigns from initial outreach through content publication, track workstream status, surface risks early, and maintain delivery quality.
  • Track creator spend and campaign delivery against the contracted plan, flag variances, and adjust allocation to protect performance and margin.
  • Manage two Campaign Managers by setting priorities, reviewing work, providing feedback, and developing their skills.
  • Agree campaign KPIs with the client, monitor performance, and recommend changes to creator mix, creative, or distribution based on results.
  • Lead post-campaign debriefs and apply learnings to subsequent briefs.
  • Track timelines, feedback windows, dependencies, issues, owners, and dates to keep delivery on plan.
  • Use AI tools and workflows to improve efficiency in areas such as casting, research, reporting, and client communications.
