About The Position

Requirements

• Certificate of completion from a 200-hour yoga teacher training completed before June 2020, plus 50 hours of continuing education for C1, C2, HPF, and Hot Formats; or Yoga Sculpt or Fitness Training plus 40 hours of continuing education for Yoga Sculpt.
• For training completed after June 2020: a certificate from a format-related 200-hour yoga teacher training completed in person or online, and/or CorePower Yoga Online teacher training, and/or completion of the 50-hour Yoga Sculpt Intensive.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Excellent oral communication, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to lead students in physical activity for up to 1.5 hours at a time.
• Ability to withstand exposure to heat up to 104 degrees for at least 60 minutes in heated classes.
• Ability to move around the studio, crouch, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of two CorePower Yoga classes per week, spending a minimum of four hours in the studio.
• Provide a consistent, safe space for students by teaching alignment, offering posture modifications as appropriate, and using CPY cueing formulas.
• Arrive 30 minutes before and stay 30 minutes after each class to review studio communications, plan CPY-aligned classes using CPY tools, and connect with the student community.
• Connect with students before and after class to support their personal growth, studio growth, and current CPY initiatives.
• Welcome and check students in, handle point-of-sale transactions and front desk duties, and help create a memorable student experience.
• Perform assigned cleaning tasks in accordance with CPY Smart Health Protocol standards to support student and employee safety.
• Uphold CPY core values and foster positive working relationships and a supportive studio environment.
• Act as an in-studio ambassador for current CPY initiatives and business streams, including memberships, programming, lifestyle programs, and retail.
• Teach assigned permanent classes at a home studio and supporting studios, prioritize substitute coverage, and support community growth and CPY initiatives.
