About The Position

YogaSix is hiring a part-time employee to teach its Sculpt format. Teachers deliver energetic, empowering, and fun classes while following YogaSix standards and guidelines, and help build a welcoming studio community. The role involves preparing and managing the practice room, providing safe and engaging instruction, and connecting with students before and after class. Teachers are expected to teach at least three classes per week over at least two days per week and to support studio success by welcoming trial students, promoting events, and staying informed about special programs. The position includes a competitive hourly rate plus an additional class rate based on experience and performance.

Requirements

Minimum 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification and Sculpt certification.
Current CPR certification.
Fluent English and excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person, by telephone, and via email.
Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general public.
Ability to remain calm and act respectfully and professionally, including with frustrated customers.
Strong customer service skills.
Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat.
Trustworthy and able to handle confidential studio information.
Proficient with computers and studio software.
Able and willing to meet the stated minimum weekly teaching schedule.

Responsibilities

Deliver classes that reflect the teacher’s personality and skills while adhering to YogaSix standards and guidelines for core class types.
Set up and manage the practice room, including props, mat spacing, music, and lighting.
Provide high-quality instruction and teach safe, fun, and creative classes for students of varying experience levels.
Clean the practice room and prop room after each class.
Arrive at least 15 minutes before class to connect with students.
Create personal connections with students and follow up with them after class.
Support studio success by giving extra attention to new students during their trial period, promoting events, and learning about special programs.
Teach at least three classes per week over at least two days per week.
