About The Position
LearnWell is seeking a part-time, year-round Teacher in Biloxi, Mississippi, to provide on-site educational services to adolescent school-age patients receiving treatment at a behavioral health facility. The position serves students in a small classroom setting, with most class sizes ranging from 10 to 20 students. The Teacher plans and delivers daily lessons, provides individualized student support, communicates about student progress as needed, adjusts teaching strategies to support student success, and maintains accurate attendance and session reports. The schedule is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
- Mississippi teaching license.
- Comfort working with adolescent-aged students.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
- Provide individualized assistance to students.
- Communicate about student progress as needed.
- Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to support student success.
- Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
