About The Position

This opportunity is for SPX Technologies' Electric Heat business, a leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Requirements

  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to correctly read a tape measure.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of tig welding, mig welding, and spot welding equipment and techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Tig welding, Mig welding, and stick welding certification
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

  • Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
  • Welds or tack welds metal parts together, using tig welding, mig welding, or spot welding equipment.
  • Removes rough spots from workpiece, using grinder, sander, or saw.
  • May be trained and tested to be ASME certified.
