About The Position

This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week. There is no per diem and no relocation funding. The Combo Welder/Pipefitter will join metal parts, such as pipe or metal plates as specified by layout, blueprints, work orders, welding procedures or oral instructions through the application of heat or electric arc-welding equipment. Must also be able to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and technical school certification preferred
  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • Applicants must be legally able to work for ANY employer in the United States.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check, as condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Weld structure and pipe FCAW and TIG (carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum).
  • Must be a Journeyman Pipefitter with Industrial experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Poly Pro/PVDF piping and welding
  • Knows how to prioritize daily tasks.
  • Able to work with little to no supervision on new projects or assignments
  • Must have good understanding of equipment/processes
  • Should demonstrate adaptability
  • Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and supervision
  • As directed, assembles pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment
  • Extensive knowledge of Poly Pro/PVDF piping and welding
  • Ability to read and understand prints
  • Diagnose piping issues and correct in the field
  • The role involves extensive use of computers for data entry, documentation, analysis, and internal communication.
  • Candidates must be comfortable and proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, etc.) and able to learn new office applications quickly.
  • Familiarity with enterprise CMMS (Computer-Aided Maintenance Management System) software and Confluence is required for daily task management, issue tracking, and collaboration.
