About The Position

The Pipefitter Helper assists pipefitters and pipe fabricators with laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment used in steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Valid TWIC Card.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in an industrial setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, and benders.
• Cut or drill holes in walls to permit passage of pipes, using a pneumatic drill.
• Select the specific type and size of pipe.
• Mount pipe hangers and brackets to hold pipe.
• Assist pipefitters with installing valves, couplings, and other fittings.
• May disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
