About The Position

This role involves performing ultrasound procedures according to entity and department guidelines, utilizing medical equipment, and addressing the age-specific needs of diverse patient populations. The technologist will also be responsible for documentation, equipment maintenance, and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or certificate program.
  • Abdom/OB, or Echo RDMS, or eligible for registration, required.
  • Current BLS.

Responsibilities

  • Practices according to entity mandatory requirements.
  • Practices according to department expectations.
  • Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities.
  • Utilizes internal and external resources appropriately.
  • Documents according to entity/department guidelines.
  • Utilizes techniques of time management effectively.
  • Sets up, adjusts and operates medical equipment and instruments.
  • Performs testing ordered by patient’s physician.
  • Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school age, adolescents, adults, older adults.
  • Performs ultrasound procedures and follows exam protocols.
  • Utilizes and maintains equipment in expert manner.
  • Performs administrative and other tasks as requested.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
