About The Position

At Pueblo Medical Imaging (PMI), our team plays a vital role in delivering timely, accurate, and compassionate patient care. We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Ultrasound Technologists who are available to work our 12:00 PM–9:00 PM shift. This position is specifically intended for candidates who are available to work the 12:00 PM–9:00 PM schedule. Requirements

  • Must be available to work the 12:00 PM–9:00 PM shift.
  • ARDMS and RVT credentials for ultrasound, or registry eligible.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Ability to read, understand, speak, and follow instructions in English; bilingual skills are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, coworkers, and providers.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, protocols, and techniques.
  • Complete competency in standard precautions, aseptic technique, venipuncture, and contrast administration.
  • Ability to manage stress appropriately in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and maintain an organized workflow.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in close proximity to others in a medical office environment.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3 years of previous ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, receive, and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures. Other modalities may apply if appropriately certified.
  • Assess and document patients' conditions to determine proper handling and any special requirements.
  • Review requisitions for physician notes, clinical information, and/or special instructions.
  • Instruct and assist patients in assuming the appropriate physical position for examinations.
  • Help ensure a positive patient experience at all PMI facilities while upholding the company's commitment to patient satisfaction.
  • Adhere to procedure protocols established by the Medical Director and/or physician performing the procedure.
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations as ordered by referring physicians.
  • Follow and enforce ultrasound safety procedures to provide a safe environment for patients and staff. Safety procedures for other modalities may apply when appropriately certified.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and examination rooms in proper working condition.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and necessary repairs to management.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
